Houseboating Time!

When you get a msg asking "do you want to come house boating for a log weekend on Shuswap Lake?" your ears pick up and you mind goes into a cartwheel! Hell yes!! Was my response so two weeks of waiting and then it was on for young and old. Getting out of the whistler bubble is always fun and when you are with 18 other mates it's always going to be a party.
Start of the drive was a bit chilly. Leaving after work we headed up thee 99 with Kamloops in our sight. Paul was ready for it and nothing was stopping us from getting there.
One week prior to us driving over the Darcy there was a slide that covered the rode. Crazy to think its meant to be summer.
Time for a dinner stop and we came across some locals who were making light of a situation where a water main burst some 2 weeks ago and was not fixed yet.
Just some lazy fishing during duck season. Dam hippies were in my was trying to stop me from catching them!
If you are on a road trip make sure you get timbits its the best way to keep the ladies happy! winning at this point.
Shane decided to get things started and wanted to see what the slide was like. The start of the trip greeted us with an nice 16deg and over cast conditions.

Trying to find our house boat and we cam across this one that was not looking so healthy.
We pulled into a lunch spot and a group of oldies told us to head up the trail to check out the water falls. Albas water falls were wild, they were so powerful to look at and not a hope in hell of paddling them. You come down a trail either on the left or the right. I did whip my self ou ton the bridg but thankfully no re injury to my self!

Quick video of just how much water was roaring down the water fall!

Just another shot of the water falls.
If you forget something chances are this floating shop will have it!
Paul dropping in!
Paul getting the job done on the slide! If only you all could have heard the girlfriends scream at the guys for riding the bike in the water! It was pricless!
The final day came with blaring sunshine and people nursing the last of there hangovers.
Shane, Matt and I just hang out the back seeing if we can catch some fish for dinner!
What do do when you captain jumps ship with a bike? do what he does and go in the drink after him!
Waiting to get the final ok to go home a lazy 6 hr drive!
Kamloops never disappoints, this guy was walking past us with 2 ski poles helping him get his power walk on!
Its hard to stay on the road when you dive the Duffy. No matter how many times you dive into and out of Lilloet there is something new, be it a riveryou have never seen  or a story you that goes with a mountain you were unaware of.
